Question Four: Is Wordsmith accessible and user-friendly?

Katie Trauth Taylor: In today’s media-saturated world, accessibility is everything. People need to be able to access the knowledge and the insights that you’re sharing. We designed Wordsmith not only to cover the topics of writing more inclusively and writing for accessibility, but we also designed the course with accessibility in mind. So every lesson is delivered as a video file, an audio file, a slide deck and a transcript. So if you’re more of a note taker, you can use the transcripts to follow along, if you’re more of a person who’s on the go and you love podcasts, you can listen to the audio files. If you’re studious, and you like to sort of visually see the lessons brought to life, you can check out the video lesson. Designing the course in this way helped us ensure that it’s accessible and also super implementable and usable to people with different learning styles.
