And the winner is…well, let’s give a little background first.
In February, members of the Untold team attended the 2019 Training Magazine Conference for training professionals in Orlando, Florida. While we were there, we asked everyone who visited our booth at the Expo Center to enter into a drawing for access to our online training course, Wordsmith for up to five employees! We’re excited that we had such a great response–over 100 entries! We appreciate everyone who stopped by to chat.
Just a refresher, Wordsmith is a five-part course that goes through the five keys to effective business writing. It trains your employees, or you can access it as an individual professional, how to write correctly; how to write clearly; concisely; and with an awareness of context and culture. And, it weaves in case studies from our work with clients from all around the world into the course, so it’s a really engaging experience.
We heard over and over again about the importance of employees being effective writers and using words meaningfully. Wordsmith is a great way to level-up your writing game if you’re someone seeking to become a thought leader or if you want your employees to be enhanced writers who can effectively communicate internally and to your customers.
One important piece of feedback we heard was the need to not only be able to allow employees to take this course on their own, self-paced, but also to have the added feature of a coach who could guide them through the course as an accountability partner to provide feedback, and editing and proofing on the writing assignments that are built into the course. As writing instructors who have taught in universities across the country, we understand how important it is to have that kind of one-on-one coaching—that’s how the best writing is fostered.
It’s something we’re really passionate about here at Untold, so we’re also excited to announce that we will now be offering one-on-one coaching from certified Wordsmith trainers to provide a more hands-on, guided approach to writing training.
We have one more announcement for you: at the end of May, we’ll be attending the ATD, Association of Talent Development Conference in Washington DC. Visit our Exhibitor space online or schedule a time to meet with us.
So without further ado, let’s draw the winner! The winner of our Wordsmith giveaway for five employees is Lacy Flinn, Customer Service Group Manager for Heritage Parts, a division of Heritage Food Service Group located in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Congratulations!
Thank you, again, to everyone who participated. Visit us at ATD to enter our next Wordsmith giveaway!
